I just overheard one of the librarians ordering a cake for mine and the library director’s birthday. This should be interesting since he can’t eat gluten and I can’t eat dairy. I’d be terribly impressed if we had a bakery in the area that could handle that kind of order. Maybe I should bring in some gluten-free vegan cupcakes just in case they forgot about our dietary quirks?

And? How’d it go? (Happy birthday, by the way.)

Thanks :)
My co-workers are amazing. They found a bakery who would bake a dairy-free and wheat-free, but not gluten-free. So they bought a gluten-free mix, sought out vegan ingredients, and made a cake! Incredible! I’m pretty lucky.

Yay! Glad it worked out.
I also can’t have gluten and one of my lovely coworkers made some vegan, gluten-free brownies that were to die for:

The brownies looked identical to the ones in the photo.
